Asinelli and Garisenda are the pride of Bologna, and if you climb up to the peak, you'll see the majesty and beauty of Bologna. By the way when staying on the peak of the tower you'll realise why Bologna is considered to be a red city! Majority of its buildings is made of red bricks, thus when looking over the city it seems to be red. Do not forget to see the Church of San Petronio (Basilica di San Petronio) which is situated on the Piazza Maggiore Bologna, the main square in the city.
