Padova Padova is situated in the north Italy in the region of Veneto. It is close to Venice (40 km west) and considered to be one of main economical centers of the region. It is also well known and popular as a tourist destination due to its cultural and historical heritage.
Padova is known as the city of "three without".
- "A Saint without a name" is a name of the basilica of Saint Anthony. It's well known that when somebody says Saint it means Saint Antony. Basilica of Saint Anthony is treated as Vatican territory and lots of pilgrims visit it annually. It was designed by Nicola Pisano. The structure was build since 1230 and was finished only in the beginning of the 14th century.
- "A meadow without grass" is a name of square Prato della Valle. Prato means meadow in Italian. It is famous for the significance size, which is 90,000 square meters. Prato della Valle is biggest in Europe after Red Square in Moscow.
- "A cafe without a door" is another name of the Pedrocchi cafe the biggest cafe in the world that was build in 1833. The architecture of the building was Giuseppe Jappelli, who built it in ecliptic manner. The Pedrocchi cafe is also connected with the names of famous people such as novelist Stendhal and poet Lord Byron.
